Imperfectly Perfect

Being Perfect

I’ve been thinking a lot about decor blogging, and how it relates to how I view my home. I think it’s easy to view images of someone else’s perfectly decorated and styled home, and believe that your home would never be interesting enough or beautiful enough to photograph. It’s something I think all professionals struggle with at some point. The constant comparing of your work to their work, of your stats to their stats, of your popularity to their popularity.

The thing is, I’m in a great place right now. Do I have the most beautiful home? No. But is it beautiful? Yes. Do I have the best photography skills? No. But am I happy with the images I create? Yes. Am I an amazing food stylist? No. But do I love cooking food that people love to eat? Yes.

So, today’s post is a celebration of the imperfectly perfect home. Here’s a few glimpses into my unmade, unstyled, imperfect life. Enjoy!

I think that I would feel at home in your house – I don’t want to live in a hotel, with perfection – I want homey comfort!
