Twinsies

Photography by William Waldron for Architectural Digest.

Twin beds used in guest rooms and kid’s rooms fascinate me. It’s such a great idea for a multitude of reasons. One, you have a sleepover-friendly room. Two, they’re more elegant and modern than bunk beds. Three, they give a married couple a break and good night’s sleep. Four, they look so pretty and balanced. Five, they’re much better than an oversized bed that makes for awkward bed sharing or limits guests. Six, most American bedrooms are gigantore, so you won’t feel cramped.

End of lecture for the day.

We are currently redoing our guest room, and have decided on 2 twins that could be pushed together if a couple desired, but then also accommodate more individual sleepers – love the idea!
