Avoca

What do wool throws, ladies dresses, extensive gardens, books, and cafes that serve wholesome food have in common? Seemingly nothing, but in Ireland, it immediately brings one word to mind: Avoca. The company started in 1723 as a mill in Avoca Village, specializing in high-quality wool that was handwoven by members of the cooperative. Various changes in ownership brought it to the big business it is today, and now their cookbooks and cafes compete alongside handwoven throws. You can read more about the company on their website.
