Chez Lulu is one of those rare gems in Birmingham where you can find a bit of European atmosphere. A long-time local favorite, it’s perfect for an intimate date or ladies who do lunch. Named after a French euphimism for bordello, the cafe is full of rich jewel tones and quirky art. My personal menu favorite? The pear, walnut, and goat cheese salad with garlic soup. After dinner, pick up an order of croissants and rustic bread for tomorrow’s breakfast in the Continental Bakery next door.
