That perfectly ruffled sand is hiding a sub-floor which keeps this renovated Portugese fishing hut comfortable even during the winter months. The owner, Joao Miguel Rodriguez, had two existing huts turned into a beach retreat with a unique sand floor. I’m not sure how this plays out while getting into bed at night. I always find loads of sand at the bottom of my sheets at the end of a week at the beach.
