We have not one, not two, but three hammocks that we hang every spring. Okay, technically we have four. Overkill? Yes. But after living in Nicaragua, we realized the absolute joy of hammocks. Along the same lines, porch swings are virtually mandatory in the South. It’s not uncommon for a house to have one on the front porch, and another on the back, or to see a tire swing hanging from an oak tree. Both cultures know how to take it slow.
