Thanksgiving is the kick-off to many a holiday party. It’s a two day festival filled with opportunities to entertain, feed, create, and start the true holiday season. I’m not a huge fan of traditional Thanksgiving decor, so I created a tablescape for a girls’ dinner using fall colors of orange, yellow, and green as inspiration. I updated the traditional colors by using brighter shades of each in an argyle pattern. Giant pinwheels decorated the wall while balls of yarn and paper mache covered the table. If you haven’t used yarn for decor yet, start with this yarn ball tutorial! Menus created by myself and my husband provide a little formality to an otherwise informal dinner. If you’ve never used a menu, try it out. Even a handwritten version will have guests oohing and aahing.
