The first part of revamping our bedroom is choosing a bed that we really like. I’m not a fan of matched sets of furniture, so bed first, side tables and dressers later.
Here are three bedframes that I really like…

{Matera Bed from Design Within Reach}
The bed comes with an option for storage drawers underneath. It’s much more expensive, but I like the idea of organized storage hidden away.

{Madura Bed from Crate and Barrel}
I like the roughness of the wood. It feels almost like smooth bark, but I’m not sure it’s the right look for us.
{Montego Platform Bed from Pottery Barn}
White and more shabby chic, but it fits the vintage modern feel that I really love.

{Wood Bed Frame from West Elm}
My favorite is this simple wood platform from West Elm. It’s high enough to feel like a bed and low enough to keep me from vaulting out of bed in the morning. The price is my favorite part, only $280 for a queen size.
